With a homage to friend and fellow New Yorker Norma Ellman, whose multitude of sectionally-triangled hats were an inspiration. Fast and easy in bulky weight yarn.

Size: Beret top is about 11 inches in diameter and toque about 9 inches.

Yarn Requirements: Bulky or Chunky yarn that will knit to the gauge below. Each require about 140 yards total. Stiped hat from 80 to 100 yards of main color and 40 to 60 of contrast.

Needles: 16 inch circular in size 7 (4.5 mm) and 9 (5.5 mm)

Gauge: 14 sts= 4 inches in garter stitch
