Pattern Specs

Gauge 9 sts = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch.

Needles US size 15 (10 mm) 16” or 20” (40 or 50 cm) circular; a set of double pointed (dp) needles the same size; crochet hook size N or M (9 mm) for edging.

Sizes Small (med/lg) to fit head sizes up to 21 (23) inches.

Notes included for shortening the hat for a small child.

Yarn Requirements 120 (130) yards (110 (119) meters) of Super Chunky or twice this amount of Bulky (14 ply) weight. Version 2 with I-cord instead of braids takes slightly less yardage.
