The main premise of this book is that a knitter eventually will find a nice yarn or garment shape they like, but there is no specific pattern for the yarn. A section on yarns and how to make a gauge swatch with them, a section of garment shape ideas and body measuring, a section of charts for the swatch gauge and garment style, and to get you going on this notion, a section of complete garment patterns to follow along. The good theory, well presented, with sound discussion and good patterns for inspiration, will help the adventurous knitter create there own master work.
