Our shipping policy:
The Yarn and Fiber Company is pleased to offer free shipping to all US destinations and Canada with few restrictions, and on most International orders ($10 minimum order value on International orders except Canada and subject to a weight restriction based on USPS International postal rate scaling).
Our prices are low and International shipping costs are high so not all orders will qualify. To verify if your order qualifies just click on the "Secure Checkout" button, log on or create an account and follow the few steps to get to the shipping page. If your order (between $10 and $60) does not qualify adding a few light items, like a set of needles, to take it over $60 may be all that is needed. As a rough guide a $100 order must be under 3lbs, a $65 order under 2lbs, a $25 order under 6oz, and a $10 order under 2oz. A lot of books are very heavy and most therefore will not qualify for free International shipping when shipped alone. See our support pages for latest information.
It is our way of saying thanks for dropping by and letting us provide you with the highest quality products and service that is expected when purchasing yarn and fiber items that will be used and enjoyed for many years.
We cannot offer "On-Line" free shipping on some Leclerc items (any shipments outside the continental US, small replacement parts and large looms). In these cases we will notify you before processing your order. This is a Leclerc policy outside of our control.
We use USPS for all free shipping except freight, this takes between 2 and 8 business days for domestic shipping on small packages and 7 to 14 days on larger packages and books or magazines. We will normally ship orders within two business days but during high volume this may take longer. Please allow extra time during holidays for your items to arrive or choose priority mail.
If You Have A Problem with a Shipment:
In the unlikely event that we ship you the wrong product or wrong quantity of a product please let us know immediately and we will rectify the problem as soon as possible. Please follow our instructions carefully when returning products to avoid problems.
Special Order and Back Ordered Products:
If you order a product that is not in stock, or is a special order you will normally be notified before you place your order. In these cases please be aware that we need to order the product from our distributors and this takes between several days and several weeks, and is not under our control. This is a service we provide for your convenience that is both time consuming and expensive, we do not pass these extra charges on to you the customer. Please be patient, and allow at least two weeks before enquiring as to the status of your order. Unfortunately due to the expense, cancellation of a back order on certain non-stock items may be subject to a fee of 30% of the order cancelled.
Hand Dyed Yarns:
Preferably before ordering, but certainly before returning hand dyed yarns because they are the wrong color, please remember that hand dyed yarns will never be exactly the colors represented on a monitor, or even the same, in many cases, colors as you may have purchased elsewhere or from us previously. This does not mean we have shipped the wrong color, or changed the label or any other strange happening. Simply that hand dyed yarns can be very inconsistant. We are happy to take back any yarn meeting the requirements of our return policy below.
Our Return Policy is as Follows:
We understand that a yarn or fiber purchased online may not have the feel or the right color as expected when viewing on a monitor – we are fiber enthusiasts too! Because of this, we offer a full refund for all yarn and fiber returns received back by us if product is in same condition as received within two weeks of shipping date from our shop.
Please contact us at returns@yarnandfiber.com for a return authorization number and return shipping address. Although we do not charge a restocking fee all shipping costs associated with returned items [in both directions] are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend that you return any items using a tracking number to eliminate any confusion as to our receipt of your item.
We also encourage you to purchase adequate quantity for your project without risking running out of yarn, so we will accept partial order yarn returns within a six month period from original shipping date and a full value merchandise credit will be issued for a Yarn and Fiber Company future purchase. If you return yarn or fiber that was purchased between six months to one year from original purchase date, a merchandise credit valued at 50% of the original yarn price paid will be issued. All returns must be in original/saleable condition.

All books, patterns, needles, notions, and other non-yarn items are final sale. No exceptions. All sale items are final sale only.
